|“Ascension. He ‘hath raised us up together, and made us sit together’ with Him in the heavenlies. This is much more than resurrection. It is ascension. It is taking the place of accomplished victory and conceded right, and sitting down in an attitude of complete repose, from henceforth expecting with Him until all our enemies be made our footstool. It is not even the effect of struggling to rise, but it is the rest of one who has ascended and is living in the realization of accomplished victory.” (Simpson, p.102)
You alone by your Holy Spirit can make this a reality in our consciousness. I believe and I trust that I am risen with you to the right hand of the Father. In this place I am unworthy. I do not belong in the presence of the Father. I cling to the cross and I pray that your precious blood would protect me from the wrath of God against sin. Jesus you are God and only you can do this miracle in my life. I press in to know Jesus at the right hand of the Father.
“It is the throne life. It is dwelling with Christ on high, your head in the heavens even while your feet still walk the paths of the lower world of sense and time. This is our high privilege, to live as if time were past, as if the millennial morning had come, and we were sitting upon our throne and realizing the felicities and glories of the ages to come.” (Simpson, p. 103)
Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. kjv
A new man is born of the Spirit through repentance. Before we are born again we are dead in sin and unable to communicate with a Holy and pure God. Once we are born again we gain new gifts, such as the ability to hear and see the spiritual truth. Infilled by the Holy Spirit we can now minister this new life to others in healing touches, powerful prayers, forgiving love and all things that are not of the flesh. Renewed in a new and fuller knowledge of Jesus. Able to know Jesus with discernment and recognition that shows a greater participation in the Christian faith.
